We read the budget as closely as the script.

Every show, stress-tested.

Before we commit, we model every show: capitalization, weekly break-even, and recoupment in strong runs and soft ones. If the numbers don’t work, we pass.

Founder

Ankit Agrawal, MSc, MBA

A four-time Tony Award nominee, Ankit has produced four Best Musical nominees: Buena Vista Social Club, Operation Mincemeat, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) and The Lost Boys. He has also been nominated twice for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, for Two Strangers and Just in Time. Buena Vista Social Club’s cast album won the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

Ankit founded OFFSCRIPT to bring an investor’s discipline to commercial theatre. He manages Double AA Ventures, a venture fund, and leads sales operations and revenue management at a national natural and specialty food distributor.

He holds a Bachelors of Biotechnology from the University of Nebraska - Omaha, a Masters in Healthcare Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and an Executive MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.

OFFSCRIPT brings a small group of accredited investors into select Broadway productions. First-time investors are welcome, and we’ll answer your questions whether or not you invest.

Is it right for you? Theatre is a high-risk, illiquid investment. Your money is tied up for the life of the show, most productions never pay back their investors, and you could lose everything you put in. Invest only what you can afford to lose.
