Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson made their Broadway debuts in Ferrentino’s drama drawn from the true story of Nick Yarris, who spent more than two decades on death row insisting on his innocence, and Jacki, the prison volunteer who took up his cause. The play premiered at London’s Donmar Warehouse in 2024. On Broadway it earned 2026 Tony Award nominations for its lighting and sound design, and Brody won a Theatre World Award.
