A musical comedy adapted from the NBC series, following the backstage chaos of a new Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe. Its star, Ivy Lynn, disappears into the part a little too completely, and the writers, producers and understudy scramble to get the show to opening night. Brooks Ashmanskas won a Drama Desk Award and earned a Tony nomination as the director Nigel, and Joshua Bergasse’s choreography was Tony-nominated too.
